“Secrets of Social Life in Ancient Egypt”, a new book by Dr. Hussein Abdel Bassir



Recently published by the Umm Al-Dunya Publishing House, Dr. Hussein Abdel-Bassir’s book “Secrets of Social Life in Ancient Egypt” was released to be available to the audience of the 54th Cairo International Book Fair. In his new book, “Secrets of Social Life in Ancient Egypt,” archaeologist Dr. Hussein Abdel Bassir takes us on an exciting and distinguished journey into the corridors and scenes of social life in ancient Egypt. We enter with ease and enjoyment into the world of secrets of social life in ancient Egypt. We get to know Narmer and Hor-Aha, and we know the story of the conflict with Nihsi, the story of ebony smuggling, the conflict in Wast region, the conflict with Sawt, and we know who Hormakht, Nimti-Nakht, and Rahotep are, and we attend a divorce case, and a case of assault, a theft case in the courts of ancient Egypt, We know what the family, women's rights, marriage, divorce, letters and numbers, and many other things were like in ancient Egypt. It is a journey through the magic of social life in ancient Egypt. It is the social life in ancient Egypt as everyone should know.



Dr. Hussein Abdel Bassir is an Egyptian archaeologist, novelist, and writer. He obtained a BA in ancient Egyptian antiquities from the Faculty of Archeology, Cairo University, and master's and doctoral degrees in ancient Egyptian antiquities and the history and archeology of the ancient Near East from Johns Hopkins University, USA. He has a large number of novels, stories, books and articles that are famous locally and internationally. He is now the director of the Antiquities Museum at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
