on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Ernest Hemingway's death
2021 marks the anniversary - 60 years since the death of the great American writer Ernest Hemingway. On that occasion,Alia Mundi Associationfor the promotion of cultural diversity andEnheduana magazineare announcing an international literary contest for an electronic collection of six-letter stories in honor of the literary form believed to have been founded by Hemingway. On one occasion, Hemingway accepted the challenge to write the saddest story in just six words and that story read: "For sale: baby shoes, never worn."
In 2021 the world is marking the 60th anniversary of the death of the great American writerErnest Hemingway. On that occasion,Association Alia Mundifor promoting cultural diversity andliterary magazine Enheduanaopen call for submissions for an international e-collection of the Six-Word Stories, the literary genre believed to be founded by Hemingway himself. Once, Hemingway was challenged to write Six-Word Storyand that story was:"For sale: baby shoes, never worn."
We invite authors from Serbia, the region and the whole world to send their stories (1 story, photo and short biography of the author) whichthey must have exactly six words. Stories by authors from Serbia and the region will be translated into English, while stories by authors from abroad will be translated into Serbian. The deadline for submitting works is July 21, the day Ernest Hemingway was born.
We are inviting the authors from Serbia, Western Balkans and worldwide to submit their stories (1 story, photo and a short bio of the author) whichmust contain exactly six words.The stories of the foreign writers will be translated into Serbian and published both in English and Serbian. Submission deadline is July 21, the day when Ernest Hemingway was born.
